Yesterday a representative gave me a price to change the date of the last segment of an upcoming flight. Today another representative told me I would have to contact United directly. She did give me very good information and directions on what to do next.

Horrible experience with Austrian Airlines, they suck, indeed!
I need to get back home to Sweden after a brief visit in Bucharest, Austrian Airlines offer me a combination Bucharest-Vienna and Vienna-Stockholm. The flight from Bucharest is a little delayed, but I should still manage to get the connection flight in Vienna, I believed.
But the crew on Austrian Airlines is in no hurry, despite the delay. They take a nice rest before we are allowed to get onboard. After we get onboard we don't fly right away because they want to inform us about the connection flights first (which takes a good while, now we are even more delayed). When we finally are in the air they are all very friendly, smile and offer us Mozart chocolate and invite us to enjoy some Johann Strauss music.
While some passengers have questions about the connection flights we are all offered more chocolate and waltz music.
Once in Vienna, several passengers (including me) have missed the connection flight.
I get a SMS message telling me that my travel has been rescheduled and I am invited to download my new ticket via a link. No matter how much I click and click, the link isn't working.
I go to the help desk in order to get my new ticket, the lady sitting there tells me that the rescheduled travel will not work, since there are no more seats available on that plane. I am offered another possibility next day, which implies that I have to spend the night in Vienna. Austrian Airlines offers accommodation in a hotel nearby but I am not allowed to pick up my luggage.
Why not? I wonder.
Because Austrian Airlines plans to check in my luggage on the flight tomorrow, answers the lady. But I still need my luggage, if I am to spend the night here, I insist. The lady at the desk offers me a tooth brush and toothpaste.
No, thanks, I say, I prefer my own toothbrush, and there are some other things in my luggage that I need, as well. Finally I am allowed to pick up my luggage, but I will have to check it in again by myself. Fine with me, I answer. She tells me that I am expected to pay for the luggage once again, because the new ticket does not include luggage.
And why on earth should I pay again? I ask. I have already paid for the whole bloody travel, including luggage. Is it my fault that you cannot keep your own time schedule and I have to spend the night in a hotel instead of being at home with my family?
Well, she says... we'll see what we can do about that. But we can offer you a window seat so you can enjoy the lovely views over the Danube and the mountains...
Sure, that's exactly what I've ever dreamed of: delayed flight, missed connection, forced overnight stay in an airport hotel, pay twice for the same luggage. Anything else nice to offer me?
Some more Mozart chocolate and Strauss waltz music?
Finally I get a free check-in for my luggage (actually not exactly free, I already paid for that when I booked the very first flight).
Next day I am back on the airport, looking forward to get back home. As soon as I get to the gate, can you imagine what I read on the electronic table?
"Flight delayed".
This is my absolutely last travel via Austrian Airlines, so you have lost a customer. And I will do my very best to warn other customers as well, because Austrian Airlines really is the lousiest flight company I have ever seen...

Billed twice for luggage at kios
When leaving greece we had to pay for luggage but my card was said to be declined which was odd they retried and it worked only to later reveal they billed me twice for my luggage and now they have dumped this ordeal on air canada but there teller is the one that took my money but they won't reimburse the second amount that they took that is a total scam will continue to follow up it has left a bad taste in my mouth for my first time traveling

Verified ReviewerResolved: No matter what you may assume, this is a company to avoid at any cost. Flights are often delayed without any concern for the passengers with connecting flights if they are little under 2 hours late.
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology.
They are horrible with luggage, which is often delayed or lost. Mine was delayed after my flight was delayed as well. They approved reimbursement but never paid it in.

After couple attempts to communicate with the company, finally we were able to reach someone and find a solution into a very difficult time that we are going through. We do appreciate the human approach and will definitely consider using them again in the future.

A Complete Disaster: Austrian Airlines Sets the Bar for Terrible Customer Service
My recent experience with Austrian Airlines was nothing short of a complete and utter disaster. If youre considering booking with them, save yourself the trouble and opt for another airline that actually values its customers.
I originally booked a Premium Economy ticket, but decided to upgrade to Business Class.
Heres where the nightmare began. Online, the upgrade seemed reasonably priced. However, the moment I called to make the change, the cost skyrocketed to double the online rate. I was promised that the online pricing was a mistake, but when I questioned it, the representative's response was unhelpful and dismissive.
When I needed to change my booking, the frustration escalated.
I was told that the changes couldnt be processed immediately and that I needed to call back in an hour. This wait, of course, was never communicated upfront. After calling back, I was met with yet another unhelpful agent who offered no real solutions. The experience was compounded by the fact that when I requested to speak to a manager, I was abruptly hung up on.
I spoke to seven different "agents" throughout this ordeal, each more inept than the last.
None of them seemed to have a clue about customer service or how to handle a simple booking change. Each call ended with more confusion and frustration, leaving me feeling like a burden rather than a valued customer.
Austrian Airlines, you need to seriously reevaluate your customer service policies and training. The lack of transparency, the rude and unhelpful staff, and the overall disorganization are inexcusable.
If you cant improve, then please step aside and let airlines that actually know how to treat their passengers take over. Your current service is an embarrassment to the industry and a complete disservice to travelers.
Avoid this airline at all costs if you value your time, money, and sanity.

Resolved: Lost laggage
My moms luggage got lost and is been 5 days and nobody contact me about it. I have been calling every day and they told me to wait patiently.
How long?
My mom is visiting here for 5 months and her medicine for her heart is in that suitcase.Very bad customer service and every time I call someone from India answer the call and I dont understand a word that were saying.I am so frustrated . I will get a lawyer involved in this matter.

We lost our luggage during the flight bound to Austria Airport. They take off to late last June 27 and we have a connecting flight to Heathrow,London but because of the delayed when we get there the door is closed not just us I assumed several people were late as well ,is not our fault your airline.
And they rebooked our flight to 5pm but our itinerary was mess up , why supposedly at 5pm they will take off and we will arrived in London by 7pm.
But guess what they started to call everyone for boarding and we waited inside the plane they closed the door , but they just park at the TARMAC for more than 1 hour is really devastating some people trying to talk to FA they have a connecting flight too. NO words coming from your FA even the pilot whats going on?
This is my first time to fly in Austria Airline but my experience is worsen we lost our luggage.
When we arrived in London is really late we are starving and we dont have our Jackets toiletries and its cold.
Hopefully you can refund my luggage but we dont know were to claim
and were still waiting when is gonna arrived my other bag.
Please if you can response to my message.
